Today’s Google Trends:Hurricane Fay Tracking

Todays hottest search on Google was “hurricane fay tracking”.

Tropical Storm Fay may still yet become Hurricane Fay. There is a small window of time during which Tropical Storm Fay may gain some additional organization and thus strengthen.

It is not out of the realm of possibility that Fay may reach Category 1 hurricane status before making landfall along the southwest Florida coast.

Tropical Storm Fay has moved over Key West Monday afternoon and is slowly moving northward along the west coast of Florida tonight.
As of 2 am EDT, Fay was located at at 25.5 north, 81.8 west or about 45 miles south of Naples, Florida, with maximum sustained winds of 60 miles per hour. Fay is drifting to the north at 7 mph.

A hurricane warning is in effect for the southwest coast of Florida from Flamingo to Anna Maria island. A tropical storm watch north of Anna Maria Island to Tarpon Springs remains in effect for that area.
A tropical storm warning is in effect along the Florida east coast from Flagler southward, including Lake Okeechobee.

A tropical storm warning is in effect for the Florida Keys from Ocean Reef to key West, including Dry Tortugus, and for the Florida mainland east of Flamingo to Card Sound Bridge. A tropical storm watch remains in effect for the Florida east coast north of Flagler beach to Fernandina Beach. A tropical storm watch is in effect for the Northwest Bahamas.
