Today’s Google Trends: Castle Crashers27th August 2008 10:19 am
The Behemoth surprised the gaming world in 2004 with the release of its humorous (and brutally difficult) side-scroller Alien Hominid. It’s been nearly four years, but The Behemoth is back with the Xbox Live Arcade exclusive Castle Crashers. Castle Crashers takes the formula of classic side-scrolling beat-em-ups such as Streets of Rage and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and adds RPG elements to elevate it to a new level. Castle Crashers begins ominously, with the kidnapping of the king’s four hot daughters. As one of the king’s most celebrated knights, you’re tasked with getting the girls back safely and defeating the evil wizard who nabbed them. And that’s really all the story you ever get with Castle Crashers, which is all you really need for a game of this nature. Just because the story is minimal doesn’t mean it isn’t enjoyable — especially thanks to numerous gags and surprises spread throughout the many levels. Castle Crashers features a mix of beat ‘em up action with RPG elements which enable players to hack, slash and smash their way to victory. The game is priced 1200 MS Points and includes 20 levels, over 40 weapons, more than 20 unlockable characters and online/local cooperative player. The price point is a little higher than your average XBLA title, but The Behemoth claims Castle Crashers is one of the largest games on the service. Google has today released its hottest searches. The Google trends daily hot list is based on Google user searches and are listed below. (1)200 cigarettes Would you like to know more about Google’s Trends?
