By Andrew Redfern @ 29th August 2008 6:55 pm

Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL) today announced that it now offers travelers the opportunity to utilize PayPal when purchasing flights at continental.com.

“Continental works to provide the most convenient online booking experience for our customers. We are pleased to work with PayPal to broaden payment options for travelers by providing an additional way to purchase flights online,” said Mark Bergsrud, Continental’s senior vice president of marketing programs and distribution.

Continental customers with a PayPal account can use several different payment options to fund transactions, including PayPal account balances, bank accounts, debit cards, and credit cards, all while keeping their financial information private and secure.

“Continental Airlines is known for its convenience and award-winning customer service, and PayPal is excited to be offered as part of that service when customers buy their tickets at continental.com,” said Mary Anne Gillespie, vice president of sales at PayPal. “With the addition of Continental Airlines we continue to give our customers more great places to shop online with the convenience and security of their PayPal accounts.”
