ICDC Partners with Merseyside Companies to Secure Research Funds
by Andrew Redfern @ 4th September 2008 11:48 pm
ICDC has successfully secured research and development funding from the UK’s Technology Strategy Board for 4 Merseyside based businesses.
Two projects have been funded, one for a significant amount, over the next 2 years. Both projects will enable the digital media and games companies involved to develop new products and services to grow their business. Tony Hughes and Simon Sprince were instrumental in co-ordinating the funding applications that will also support research conducted by ICDC involving Andy Goodwin.
Tony Commented; “This is exactly the kind of initiative that enables small companies to innovate through working in collaboration across public and private sector and with large corporates.
It means that these companies can spend time in developing IP that can be exploited with the support of experienced researchers and channel to market partners.”
