Yahoo! Appoint Digital Content Specialist to Boost US Revenue

Search Engine News today saw Yahoo! Inc. (Nasdaq:YHOO) announce that Joanne K. Bradford, a specialist in the online content and advertising industry, has joined Yahoo! as senior vice president, U.S. Revenue and Market Development.

In this newly created role, Bradford will oversee Sales, Market Development for Advertisers, Small Business, and Yahoo! HotJobs, and will report to Hilary Schneider, executive vice president of Yahoo! U.S.

“We are thrilled to have an executive of Joanne’s caliber to lead Yahoo! through to the next phase of its growth,” said Sue Decker, President, Yahoo!. “Yahoo! and Joanne have a shared mindset about the strategic role that Yahoo! and online marketing can play to bothbuild leading brands and drive customer acquisition for the world’s leading marketers.”

Schneider added, “Joanne’s deep understanding of the marketplace coupled with her proven ability to package and deliver results-driven solutions for the world’s biggest brands will help Yahoo!’s customers connect with the audiences they most want to reach not just on Yahoo!, but across the web.”

Prior to joining Yahoo!, Bradford was executive vice president of National Advertising Services for Spot Runner, Inc. where she was responsible for leading the business unit focused on national advertisers. Before assuming her role at Spot Runner, Bradford led global product and platform development, content and programming, business development, product management, marketing and branded entertainment for Microsoft’s MSN business.

During her tenure with Microsoft, she also served as the corporate vice president of Global Sales and Marketing and chief media revenue officer for Microsoft Digital Advertising Solutions across all Microsoft properties. Bradford also held leadership roles at BusinessWeek magazine, and is the recipient of numerous industry awards and accolades.
