Google and ASK.com extend PPC agreement

IAC and Google have announced that they have extended and broadened an agreement whereby Google will provide Ask.com and IAC’s other Internet brands with sponsored listings.

The specific financials and additional terms of the five-year agreement were not disclosed.

“It is just great that Ask.com has been able to extend its agreement with Google.

They are clearly the market leaders and their remarkably efficient operation will greatly benefit Ask.com and our other Internet properties,” said Barry Diller, IAC Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

“We are very happy to extend our long-standing relationship with IAC and we look forward to continuing to work with them as an important Google partner,” said Eric Schmidt, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Google Inc.

Prior to this announcement IAC, the parent company of Ask.com had said that its was breaking itself up into five different publicly traded companies.

They are IAC – Ask.com, Bloglines, Citysearch, CursorMania, IAC Advertising Solutions, Evite, Excite, InsiderPages, iWon, My Fun Cards, My Way, Popular Screensavers, Smiley Central, Webfetti and Zwinky

HSN – portfolio of catalogs, web sites and retail locations, including Alsto’s, Ballard Designs, Frontgate, Garnet Hill, GrandinRoad, Improvements, Isabella Bird, Smith+Noble, The Territory Ahead and TravelSmith

Ticketmaster – including Admission.com, Biletix, Billetnet, BillettService, Cottonblend, Echomusic, Kartenhaus.de, Lippupalvelu, LiveDaily, TicketService, Tick Tack Ticket, TicketWeb and Ticnet.se, as well as Ticketmaster’s current investments in Frontline and iLike;  

Interval International – CondoDirect, Resort Quest Hawaii and VacationSource.com;

LendingTree – include RealEstate.com, Domania, GetSmart, Home Loan Center and iNest.
