Todays hottest search on Google was  “maps.google.com/vote”

In order to get US citizens to vote in the coming presidential election, film stars joined forces with Google on Wednesday in a campaign.

Forest Whitaker, Leonardo DiCaprio and Dustin Hoffman concentrated on directing viewers to www.maps.google.com/vote for geographically-tailored information about voting and voter registration.

Voters can fill out registration forms, find - and get directions to - their polling places and request absentee ballots over the Internet by typing in their home address. Google links to the secretary of state’s site where the information is maintained.

Google has today released its hottest searches. The Google trends daily hot list is based on Google user searches and are listed below.
