Search Engine News - Yandex Adds Intelligent Suggestion

Russian Search Engine Yandex has today rolled out the new functionality which will offer intelligent suggestions.
These intelligent suggestions help users enter queries in the search box faster and define searches more precisely. Hyperlinked suggestions take users straight to the website they need.
The new suggstion tool look like this
A list of suggestions is displayed in a drop down menu when typing a query in the search box. This significantly speeds up online search. Instead of typing the whole word or phrase, the user only has to select the desired query from the list.
For instance, it is enough to type “goo” to have “Google” suggested, or “lin” to see “lineage 2″ at the top of suggestions list.
Today, Yandex search offers suggestions to 10 million queries. About 10,000 suggestions are hyperlinked, so that users can click through straight to the website they need without clicking the “Search” button.
This search suggestion technology was implemented in Yandex.Bar in August 2007
