Although search engine optimisation was always an ever changing world of business. New search engines are making it increasingly important to widen your knowledge and keep upto date with any algorithm changes that may cause sites to fluctuate in the rankings.
The latest search engine search3 is a brand new innovation which will help not only to keep search engine optimisation professionals on their toes, it will also help them keep tabs across a number of different search engines at once!
Not quite sure where I’m going with this? Well basically, search3 allows you to search for a particular term, i.e. “hitsearch” as per any usual search engine. On the other hand this gives you the ability to have 3 different search engines results infront of you at once! This is entirely different to normal search engines who only want to show you what they consider relvant.
David Fireman, Search3 CoFounder had this to say “meta-search engine” works under the theory that “three is better than one” and says the company is working on tools that will help people track their search engine optimization (SEO) performance.
“SEO professionals can use Search3 as a tool to benchmark clients’ performance on search engines, and measure the impact of website changes they make on their clients’ search engine rankings,” he said. “Search3 will sell convenience to SEO professionals.”
The search engines it allows you to use are, Google, Yahoo, Bing. There is also the ability to have twitter and even eBay in the results. In the image search you also have the fantastic ability to search flickr to save you the time of opening the site to look for your favourite images. The fact that the new site allows users to search on Twitter shows the growing importance of real-time search.
