Internet Marketing: Starting today, Yandex users can find their way not only in the city, but also underground. Now, Yandex offers metro map search for all cities on the Yandex.Maps service, which have a metro system.
Users in Moscow, Saint Petersburg and Kiev can also plan their route and calculate the time of travel.
With the new functionality, Yandex users can see their route on the map together with its full description including the names of metro stations, changes, approximate time of travel and the information about metro exits. One can also email the link with the route search results to friends or put it in a blog.
“The closer the winter holidays are, the more often Yandex users in Moscow can see on the front page of Yandex the “Take the metro” tip from Yandex.Traffic”, says Andrey Karmatsky, manager of the Yandex.Maps service. “So, we thought we could help.”
