Facebook starts rolling out in Spanish

This is big news on the Facebook front, not so much the rolling out in another language but the method in which it was done. The entire site was translated by it’s user community.

I found the following quote and a pretty useful country by country breakdown over at the InsideFacebook blog :

“Over 60 percent of Facebook users are now outside of the U.S., and many live in countries where English is not the primary language,” said Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg in a statement. With over 64 million members, that puts over 38 million outside the US. Here’s a breakdown of where Facebook users live, by country:
