Omnicom appoints new Digital Development VP for Asia

Omnicom has appointed Jason Kuperman as Vice President, Asia Pacific Digital Development. Kuperman was formerly Managing Director of the Shanghai office of Agency.com, part of the TBWAnetwork.

In his new role, Kuperman will work closely with all Omnicom agencies to further enhance their digital capabilities and profiles. Kuperman will be based in Shanghai and report to Michael Birkin, Omnicom’s Vice Chairman and Chairman and CEO of Asia Pacific.

“With the steep rise in digital services provided across all our agencies in numerous markets, we face a need to constantly build our capabilities through smart hiring, training and acquisitions. Jason’s background is perfect to accomplish this,” said Michael Birkin.

“The organic development of interactive capabilities has given Omnicom agency networks a leadership position to deliver innovative integrated campaigns for clients,” commented Kuperman.

“The goal now is to bring even greater focus to digital’s contribution in the region and to continue to advance our digital capabilities within the accelerating new media market.”
