Browser based Google Sky released.

Hit Search : Google have released the browser based version of their popular Google Earth add-in Google Sky.
The site ( http://www.google.com/sky/ ) allows users to explore the universe as well as download information via the Earth & Sky podcasts. As with the original Google Sky application it contains images from a range of surces including Sloan Digital Sky Survey, the Digitized Sky Survey and the Hubble Space Telescope.
As well as the visual spectrum the site has sliders in the top right corner (where the statelite/map options are in Google Maps) that allow the user to view infrared red and microwave emissions. The Back Yard Astronomy options gives the user a quick guide to the celestial objects that are visible to your average astronomer and aims to be a usueful tool to the enthusiastic amateur.
