MapJack expands his reach into the countryside

The fledgling alternative to Google Street, MapJack now has street level (or should that be forest floor level) mapping of Yosemite National Park. Starting up from an initial base of San Francisco and Chiang Mai, Thailand it has now expanded it’s reach to the great outdoors with Yosemite and Lake Tahoe ready and waiting to be toured.
It is a move that takes it away from direct competition with Google and into a tourism & sightseeing niche. It’ll be interesting to see where they map next. Another site in this field, EveryScape, has published mapping of Beijing as well as the first street level views of Europe. EveryScape offer another innovation in the field in that they have panoramas of the interior of public buildings.
