Track Liverpool 08 on Google Maps

By Andrew Redfern @ 21st May 2008 12:51 pm

For a while now we’ve been logging onto the Clipper round the world 07/08 race website to track the progress of the various contestants. We don’t usually have such a keen interest in sailing but this year Liverpool has a boat named after it and, perhaps more significantly, the race is currently winding it’s way across the Caribbean towards Jamaica and is due to finish in Liverpool in July as part of the city’s Capital of Culture year celebrations.

It quite a nifty little site based around a google map tracking the race progress via the boat’s gps systems. There is also a section for blogs, videos & images posted from various crew members as they sail across the oceans.
