According to Google Trends the rush of searches for information about the latest series of Big Brother has been headed by people from Northern Ireland and Wales.

Belfast and Cardiff made up two of the top five cities searching for information on Sylvia, Kathreya, Mohamed et al despite the two regions being under-represented amongst this year’s housemates.

Unsurprisingly Liverpool was high in the rankings given the large numbers of contestants from the city and the surrounding region.
According to Google’s trends monitor in the last 30 days the UK has experienced a significant surge in interest from the country’s Polish population in the last 30 days.

The site is just entering it’s first week so the fun and games are just beginning. The Big Brother website is raring to go. The media are alive with stories of declining ratings and dwindling public interest so it’ll be interesting to see how the search volumes compare to previous years.
