comScore “selected by 54 Percent” in Survey

By Andrew Redfern @ 8th July 2008 9:49 pm

comScore, Inc. (Nasdaq: SCOR), a leader in measuring the digital world, today announced that it was rated as the preferred audience measurement service by 54 percent of respondents to William Blair & Company’s 5th semiannual survey of the members of the Chicago Interactive Marketing Association (CIMA).

The results for comScore represented a 7-percentage point gain from the last survey, extending its lead versus its nearest competitor to 20 share points. William Blair also noted that “comScore is unusually well positioned to benefit from the healthy industry environment highlighted throughout this report ….

As the company’s penetration among industry leaders continues to grow, the value of comScore’s data and services
increases, which we believe will reinforce the company’s products as the key currency for online measurement.”

ComScore chairman Gian Fulgoni will participate in a panel discussion hosted by William Blair beginning at 10:00 AM CDT on July 8. The panel discussion will explore the results of the survey, which is intended to gauge the current state of the interactive marketing industry, identify emerging trends, and determine likely beneficiaries. The dial-in number for
the conference call is (866) 243-8440 for the U.S. and Canada and (706) 902-3190 for international callers, and the Conference ID is 54028947.

To conduct the survey, William Blair partnered with CIMA, which boasts a membership base of more than 800 organizations (of which approximately 150 participated in the survey). William Blair commented that CIMA is: “One of the world’s most active Internet marketing associations and the advertisers represented by this community provide an ideal market barometer, as they are more likely to be affiliated with established marketers that control some of the largest ad budgets in the world.”
