TradeDoubler Signs Up Cathay Pacific

Affiliate Network giant TradeDoubler today announced that is have signed up a new supplier; thne international airline, Cathay Pacific, to exclusively manage its affiliate marketing programme .

The deal will see TradeDoubler initially launch the programme in the UK in January 2009, with a view to rolling out across Germany, France, Italy and the Netherlands in time.  It’s the first time that Cathay Pacific has engaged in affiliate activity and TradeDoubler was appointed on the strength of its expertise in the affiliate market, without a competitive pitch.

The affiliate programme will be used to complement Cathay Pacific’s existing online efforts, which include an extensive search engine marketing campaign and rich media online experiences, and is intended to help boost online ticket sales and drive Cathay Pacific’s competitiveness in the Internet sales market.  Faced with rising fuel costs, growing passenger numbers and the threat of low-cost airlines, Cathay Pacific is among a number of premium airlines that are increasingly looking at more cost-efficient channels like affiliate marketing to drive sales and Internet presence.

David Paice, marketing manager, UK and Ireland at Cathay Pacific, said: “It is now paramount for any airline to have an affiliate network and we have high hopes for the programme we are putting in place. Affiliate marketing has proven to be an extremely successful revenue generation channel, with the potential to account for up to 20 to 30 per cent of an organisation’s total online revenue, so we simply couldn’t afford not to do it. Affiliate network LinkShare today announced that it has secured 74 new advertisers to its network for the third-quarter of 2008.

The new customer count outpaces LinkShare’s second-quarter growth, reflecting both the company’s success in providing full-service online marketing solutions as well as the increasing demand for performance marketing as a result of the current economic landscape.

Pepperjam Adds 198 New Advertisers to Its Affiliate Network

Pepperjam announced today that Pepperjam Network added 198 new advertisers during the third quarter of 2008, including Columbia House, Jockey International, Alibaba, Apartments.com, BBC America, Total Gym, Pacific Coast Feather Company, Identity Truth, Brigade QuarterMasters, SkinStore.com, and Sparks Networks, among others.

The addition of nearly 200 new advertisers comes off of an announcement in the first quarter of 2008 that Pepperjam Network closed 175 new advertiser contracts, which was followed by an additional 177 new advertiser launches in the second quarter of 2008.

Jessops Joins Affiliate Network TradeDoubler

TradeDoubler today announced that it has been appointed by Jessops as an exclusive affiliate marketing provider.

The deal builds on a longstanding relationship between the two companies which has seen Jessops more than triple its affiliate sales.

The new agreement will see TradeDoubler support Jessops in driving sales, maximising ROI and providing an effective online service for Jessops’ partners and customers. Jessops has run its affiliate programme with TradeDoubler on a non-exclusive basis since October 2003.

TradeDoubler has enjoyed a much closer working relationship with Jessops over the last two years following the decision to make affiliate activity a major part of Jessops’ overall online marketing efforts.

This included the introduction of an offline “collect@store” feature which gives customers the option to shop online and collect from a local store on the same day. TradeDoubler affiliates have accounted for around half of all Jessops’ online business since 2006.

TradeDoubler appoints Dominic Trigg as VP of Global Sales

TradeDoubler today announces the appointment of Dominic Trigg as Vice President, Global Sales.  Trigg, who officially takes up his new role from 1st October, will have overall responsibility for TradeDoubler’s global advertiser, publisher and agency sales across all of the company’s 19 markets. 

He will sit on TradeDoubler’s Group Management Board and will be based at the company’s offices in London.
 
Trigg has a strong background in online and traditional media; his most recent role was at Infospace Europe where he held the role of Vice President Search Europe.  Prior to Infospace, Trigg held roles as Advertising Operations Director Europe at Yahoo! and Advertising Director at Microsoft’s MSN UK.
