SEMPO elect iCrossing’s vice president17th March 2008 5:39 pm Sempo iCrossing today announced that Jeffrey Pruitt, executive vice president, corporate partnerships, has been elected as president of SEMPO (Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization) for the second year in a row. SEMPO, http://www.sempo.org, is the largest global non-profit organization serving the search engine marketing industry. It conducts a number of educational and research activities to create a better understanding of search’s role in marketing programs.

SEMPO: Paul Doleman & Richard Gregory speak at SES London21st February 2008 1:03 pm Sempo SEMPO - The Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization announced that it will be participating in Search Engine Strategies (SES) conference in London, February 19-21, 2008. Paul Doleman and Richard Gregory, co-chairs of the SEMPO UK Working Group, will be speaking at SES London. Doleman, from iCrossing, will take part in a Keynote Roundtable entitled “The Changing Search World” at 9am, February 20. The roundtable will discuss the recent possibilities of a Microsoft/Yahoo world and its impact on the search world. Gregory, from Latitude Group, will participate on a panel entitled, “Compare & Contrast: Ad Program Strategies,” at 2pm, February 20. The panelists will address how the major search ad networks all operate differently, examine the key differences, discuss how to work with these differences, and learn how to possibly make them work to your advantage. Incisive Media and SEMPO have a partnership to sponsor major networking events at many SES events. Voting will open on Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at 5 p.m. GMT (12 p.m. EST) and close on Friday, February 15, 2008 at 10 p.m. GMT (5 p.m. EST). The 2008-2009 Board of Directors will consist of 13 individuals who will each serve a two-year term. Previously board terms were one year, but SEMPO changed the term to two years, requiring an increased commitment on behalf of board members. All current SEMPO memberships are eligible to cast one vote.
