R.H. Donnelley, a leading print and online local search company, today announced an expanded relationship with Yahoo! Local.
The agreement, which gives local businesses additional exposure on the Yahoo! Local and Yahoo! Maps sites, is part of R.H. Donnelley's larger efforts to distribute local advertiser content across its own proprietary platforms as well as other leading local search sites.
The agreement covers 14 Western and Midwestern states where R.H. Donnelley distributes the official print directory for Qwest under the Dex(R) brand name.
The Dex marketing consultants will offer highly targeted and valuable placement on Yahoo! Local, the most visited destination for local information online with 30 million unique visitors across its network of local sites.
"Our local business customers look to us as their trusted marketing consultant, and we are always seeking new ways to bolster our ability to deliver them more high quality leads than they can get from any other business partner," said George Bednarz, senior vice president of R.H. Donnelley's interactive operations.
"We accomplish this by distributing their content through our own print and interactive solutions and across other leading online local search sites.
Partnering with Yahoo! Local is part of our broader interactive strategy to help deliver a steady stream of high quality leads from multiple mediums to local businesses." Dex advertisers will benefit from inclusion within the following Yahoo!
Local advertising products:
Featured Listings - Sponsored listings with guaranteed placement on the first or second search results pages for broader exposure in a specific geography or category
Enhanced Listings - Sponsored listings that offer the ability to add a detailed business description, photos, tagline and coupons to create greater online visibility for businesses and enhance their appearance within organic results
Yahoo! Maps Business Listings - Sponsored listings within the context of a map-based view
"Yahoo! Local provides consumers with a comprehensive and relevant local search experience online," said Scott Regan, senior director of Yahoo! Local.
"The depth of our local offering has enabled us to be a partner of choice within this industry and we're pleased to extend our partnership with R.H. Donnelley and bring its growing portfolio of local advertiser content to additional parts of Yahoo!"
