Hit Search is delighted to announce the latest addition to its growing operations team: Aussie writer Lee Glynn.
Lee is known to thousands across the UK and Europe as lead guitarist of indie rock band Sound of Guns, but after the band announced their decision to call it a day, Lee chose to pursue his original career ambitions as a writer and creative.
With years of experience in music journalism, including the launch of his own magazine, Lee brings talent and enthusiasm to the Hit Search content writing team. He is also sure to be a great addition to the team as a whole; thanks to a friendly demeanour and plenty of stories about life on the road.
The acquisition once again demonstrates the company’s commitment to building a bright, talented and creative workforce.
Hit Search Director Andrew Redfern was delighted to get his man. He said: "When we launched a recruitment drive for a new content and PR writer, few candidates could match Lee for pure writing talent, but perhaps more importantly, for ambition.
"Lee is a great person and he’s full of fresh ideas for promoting our clients and our own brand. As the focus of the online marketing industry shifts even further toward content production and brand building, it is essential to have a team of creatives in-house.
"We’re looking forward to seeing what Lee brings to the table and helping him to grow into an important member of the team. In addition to his skills as a writer, Lee is a winner who has enjoyed success in everything he has done".
For the man, himself, the decision to join a fast growing digital agency, which has recently broken into the Prolific North Top 50 Digital Agencies outside of London, was a simple decision to make.
He said: "I’ve always been an avid writer and Hit Search has given me the opportunity to take my PR career further.
"I’m looking forward to working with the team and getting stuck into the interesting projects they have planned."
Lee joins the Hit Search team on the same day that brand new marketing manager Rushell Clarke reports for duty. It is an exciting time for the Liverpool company, with at least one more new addition expected to be announced soon.
In the meantime, here are some facts about Hit Search’s newest recruit:
- He used to host a radio show - Before heading to the UK to join a band at the age of 18, Lee hosted a radio show on Twin Cities FM in Perth, Western Australia.
- He’s a fully fledged rockstar - Alongside his bandmates in Sound of Guns, Lee has played in festivals all over the world, including Glastonbury, appeared on TV and released two albums.
- He can make a mean cup of tea - Well, that’s what it says on his CV.
