Organised by media and marketing news outlet, The Drum, the Dadi Awards is the biggest new event in the marketing industry calendar; celebrating innovation and achievements in the digital sphere.
Hit Search is nominated for “Not for Profit/Charity Website, App or Campaign” thanks to our work with the Alder Hey in the Park. This exciting new project by the leading UK children’s hospital and healthcare charity will result in the opening of a brand new, state of the art children’s hospital, set entirely within the grounds of a beautiful park and designed in part by the remarkable young people whose lives have been touched by the hospital.
Construction is already well under way on the new facility but the charity urgently requires funds for £30m of life saving medical equipment. Our digital marketing campaign, built predominantly around PPC and SEO is helping the organisation to make great strides toward that target.
A diverse judging panel featuring top marketers from Philips, Google, Adobe and Visa convened in London last week to choose the UK’s best digital marketing work from the past 12 months and competition was fierce.
Understandably, we are immensely proud to simply be nominated and we can’t wait to see how we fare against the best in the business.
According to Claire White, Director of Charities at Alder Hey, our place in the final is fully deserved.
Ahead of this week’s announcement, she said: “We chose to work with Hit Search because of their experience in online marketing, and the fact that they are a local company with strong ties to Alder Hey and the things we are trying to do. We couldn’t have expected how helpful they would be, from devising a new strategy for our PPC campaign, to introducing other opportunities like advertising on Twitter, which has been really useful in a short space of time.
“Hit Search were just down the road, so we could invite them over or pay them a visit as often as we needed to, to get the project off the ground and we always caught up regularly to discuss the performance of our campaign and their plans for moving forward. Hit Search are always coming to us with new ideas which we are happy to trial on their recommendation and it feels like they really do care about our cause.
“We are a small team at Alder Hey so having that extra digital expertise to call on at any time has been invaluable. They have very much become an extension of the team and we can’t wait to see what they will bring to the table next.”
Hit Search’s Elizabeth McCarthy works on PPC and social media for Alder Hey. After hearing about the nomination she said: “It is really exciting to hear that we have been nominated for the Dadi Awards 2014, alongside so many fantastic agencies. I, for one, can’t wait to see how we do.
“Creating a PPC campaign for Alder Hey in the Park, in such a competitive area as the charity sector, has presented a number of challenges; but this has made it such an interesting campaign to work on. It’s also rewarding to know that we are helping such a brilliant cause. The Alder Hey Children’s Charity is loved in Liverpool and respected all over the world. We’re proud to do our bit.
“We can’t wait for the Dadi Awards and the chance to celebrate a great year with some of the biggest and best companies in digital marketing. I’m sure it will be a fantastic night and if we can come home with an award then that will be a bonus.”
