We’re up against some of the biggest digital agencies in the UK; and everybody on the list has produced some exceptional work for a variety of worthwhile causes. The ceremony is all about celebrating that good work as an industry and it promises to be the biggest and best DADI Awards yet.
After another sell out in 2013, the show has moved to Park Plaza in Westminster. A who’s who of the online marketing industry is going to be there.
Hit Search director Andy Donaldson can’t wait to get involved. He said: “The DADI Awards is one of the most important dates in the digital calendar. It’s an opportunity to network and have a good time but it’s also a chance to discuss some of the biggest challenges facing online marketers today.
“The industry has never been more complex and competitive, as Google algorithm changes force us all to continually tweak our offering and maintain the highest standards possible. We’re looking forward to getting there and joining the conversation. With a little luck we might even bring home a prize.”
Hit Search were nominated for the DADI’s thanks to their work with Alder Hey Children’s Charity. Construction is well underway on the innovative new children’s hospital, Alder Hey in the Park, and Hit Search is helping to improve the visibility of the cause online and also encourage more people to head to the Alder Hey site and donate.
Since taking over the campaign in October 2013, on site conversions have increased from 57 for the month to 778 in April. Traffic has also more than doubled from 1,541 visits at the outset of the campaign to a high of more than 3,000 in March.
The charity’s aim is to reach a total of £30 million in donations for life saving medical equipment and they are well over halfway to their target. Alder Hey in the Park campaign is now visible to more search and Twitter users than ever before. This isn’t only better for the bottom line, it’s better for general awareness. The publicity and awareness that Hit Search are drumming up is considerable; and it is very much deserved by such a worthwhile cause.
For Clare White, Director of Charities at Alder Hey, the opportunity to work with a local agency was an important factor but Hit Search has surpassed her expectations.
She said: “We chose to work with Hit Search because of their experience in online marketing, and the fact that they are a local company with strong ties to Alder Hey and the things we are trying to do. We couldn’t have expected how helpful they would be, from devising a new strategy for our PPC campaign, to introducing other opportunities like advertising on Twitter, which has been really useful in a short space of time.
“Hit Search were just down the road, so we could invite them over or pay them a visit as often as we needed to, to get the project off the ground. We caught up regularly to discuss the performance of our campaign and their plans for moving forward. Hit Search are always coming to us with new ideas which we are happy to trial on their recommendation and it feels like they really do care about our cause.”
Matthew Dunne, Alder Hey’s Web and Digital Officer added: “We are a small team at Alder Hey so having that extra digital expertise to call on at any time has been invaluable. They have very much become an extension of the team and we can’t wait to see what they will bring to the table next.”
A team of top marketers from companies like Philips, Google, Adobe and Visa convened in London to select the best digital work from a record number of entries. We’ll have to wait until the ceremony to find out if Hit Search will be among the lucky few to leave Park Plaza with a prize.
